š Be More, Do Less: A New Chapter
Things are evolving beautifully, so it's time to do this...
Hey, I hope you're well.
The past few months have been a real creative adventure, and Iām so grateful to have you along for the ride. I have some exciting news to share.
First, Iāve recorded a personal message just for you, my wonderful subscribers, but Iāve also laid out all the details for you below.
Life After Redundancy
As some of you know, I was made redundant just before Christmas 2024. After working my notice period in January, Iāve spent the past couple of months reflecting on what truly matters and embracing the luxury of quiet moments after years of relentless noise.
This period has given me the space to reconnect with my first love: art and creativity. But during this time, I also realised how much I genuinely enjoyed my work as a productivity coach and deep work facilitator and how much I miss helping people. I took some time after the shock of redundancy to reconnect with the good I brought to my role. During this time, itās been so important to look back and reflect on the positive moments, allowing me to move forward from this period with a sense of pride in myself. Like this comment from a lovely human I worked with:
"Georgie oozes care and commitment in all that she does. Whether this be for the community members she looked out for, the attendees in her focus session or workshops or the intricate piece of creative wonderfulness that she is creating. As if that isn't enough, G is MIND BLOWINGLY creative both with her hands and her mind - a skill that she used excellently in all aspects of her work."
Through my coaching, I discovered something remarkable: so many people have dormant creativity within them, just waiting for permission to emerge. They simply needed the space to express it.
I learned that by prioritising our deepest values and what truly matters, we become more fulfilled. I saw this transformation firsthand; when people made space for their creative passions, it had a ripple effect on every part of their lives. It was by taking time to recharge - stepping away from work, chores, and expectations of others - that their creativity was able to flow freely. That creative flow brought unexpected benefits to so many aspects of their lives.
Introducing the Be More, Do Less Philosophy
This realisation has helped crystallise my philosophy: In order to be more - more present, more creative, more fulfilled - we actually have to do less. We need to create boundaries around what's important and say no to distractions that don't serve our true purpose and values.
This clarity has inspired me to rename this Substack publication to reflect this philosophy: Be More, Do Less. (My longtime subscribers know I like a name change; admittedly, there have been a few š¤.)
Be More, Do Less is built on a simple yet profound philosophy: by reducing the constant doing, we create space to simply be: more present, more creative, more fulfilled.
Whether you're dipping in occasionally for inspiration or fully embracing the Be More, Do Less philosophy, you'll find content that gently invites you to explore what's possible.

Therefore, in bigger news, I'm introducing paid subscriptions - this one feels exciting and slightly nerve-wracking all at the same time! The Sunday posts and musings, plus the Creative Snack videos you've come to enjoy, will remain free for everyone, but I'm creating deeper resources for those who want to fully immerse themselves in the creative wellbeing journey with me.
