Hey lovely people
I’m popping in with a bit of an update today, more of a life and creativity check-in than a Creative Snack.
Right now, I’m in the middle of a 30-day drawing challenge, drawing a flower a day with my beautiful Tom’s Studio fountain pen. It’s the first time I’ve drawn with a fountain pen ( I usually use fineliners), and I am only on day four, but already it is teaching me so much about loosening up, letting go of perfection, and reconnecting with the simple joy of being in the beginner’s mindset again.
And honestly, it’s made me realise how much I have drifted away from making art, the very thing that lights me up. I’ve been so busy creating videos, writing, and worrying about showing up online that I forgot why I’m even here!
I’m here to make beautiful things, to explore, to express.
So I am taking my own advice: Be more. Do less.
That means I am slowing things down a little. Creative Snacks will now drop every couple of weeks instead of weekly. Paid supporters, do not worry. You’ll still get bonus videos and resources, and of course, access to the full archive.
This is simply a gentle recalibration. A chance to breathe, to make more art, and to lead from a place of authenticity rather than obligation.
If you fancy cheering me on with the drawing challenge, I am posting little updates (mostly) daily on Notes and will share round-ups on my main Substack posts, too. I would love for you to follow along.
Your 30-day Drawing Challenge?
Even better, I would absolutely love for you to join me!
If you fancy treating yourself to a beautiful Tom’s Studio pen, I have an affiliate link you can use. (It means I earn a small commission if you buy at no extra cost to you - this just enables me to stay topped up with more art materials!).
You’ll get 10% off any order over £30. Just use the code GEORGIESTCLAIR at checkout, or use this link for the fountain pen I used (I’m using the semi-flex nib).
I honestly cannot recommend Tom’s Studio pens enough — I absolutely adore mine!
Thank you for being here and for believing in slow artistic magic. ✨
Have a creative day and enjoy the rest of your week 💕
✨ Just a little note: I occasionally use affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy something I recommend — at no extra cost to you. It's a lovely way to support my art (and fuel me with pens and coffee!).
